Questions
Can I form a US LLC if I am not a US citizen or resident?
Yes. A person from almost any country can own a US LLC. You do not need a visa, a US address or a Social Security number. People living in, or nationals of, countries under US sanctions generally cannot.
Which state should I choose?
Most founders outside the US pick Wyoming for its low yearly cost, or New Mexico if they want no annual report at all. Delaware makes sense if you plan to raise money from US investors. The state table on this page shows every fee.
How long does it take?
The state usually approves in 1 to 5 business days, though Arizona and busy periods can take longer. The EIN from the IRS takes longer for owners without a Social Security number, typically 2 to 6 weeks. You can follow both in your dashboard.
Do you guarantee a bank account?
No. Banks and payment providers decide for themselves. We give you the documents they usually ask for and a guide to applying.
What does the registered agent do?
Every LLC needs an address in its state where official letters and legal papers can be delivered. Our partner agent receives them and we scan them into your dashboard.
Do I have to pay US taxes?
It depends on where your income comes from and your own country's rules. A foreign-owned single-member LLC must file IRS Form 5472 every year even with no income. We remind you, but we are not tax advisers.
What do I get at the end?
Your approved Articles of Organization and registered agent details, plus the EIN letter, operating agreement and banking resolution with Standard and Complete, all downloadable from your dashboard.
